Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows

If you've hung around me at all or listened to my Facebook lives you will know that I LOVE and live by the quote "Where focus goes, energy flows."

Do you ever notice when you start to think about buying a specific car that you start to see them e v e r y w h e r e? It's like everyone is on the same wave length and also went and got your exact car!

That's because you are focused on that car (even when you don't realize it). Thinking and wanting that new car has now brought it into your awareness and that’s where your energy is pouring into. That focus and energy is creating your reality, because we both know that car was on the road before.  You just notice it now. If you decide not to buy that car you quickly wouldn’t notice it as much, and after awhile hardly think about it at all. 

This is an important thing to realize. This is the power of the mind.  What are your thoughts? What is your focus on the daily?

Take a moment and do a quick evaluation of your life and your reality. Ask yourself, on a scale of 1-10 how fulfilled am I in the following areas: 

  • Health

  • Career

  • Finance

  • Personal Growth

  • Family

  • Relationships

Once you have your ratings, now ask yourself,"How do I feel in each area?" and write down the emotion.

Then ask, "What thoughts do I focus on in each area?"

For example let's say rate my Health section at a level 4 but I want to be at a level 8. The feeling I notice is sluggish. And what is my thought focus? Well, my focus is on my muffin top and how tired I am and how I don't feel like working out. How is that mindset going to help or hinder my success to reach the goal of a level 8 which I desire? Ummmmm....not so much! Right?!

So I'd need to refocus my energy and mindset and have energy flowing into my desires and wants NOT what I don't want. If I focus on what I don’t want I’ll end up attracting more of that into my life - and nobody wants that!

To refocus, one thing you can ask yourself is, what is my best possible thought in this moment. Then, anchor to that. Subtle shifts of our mindset consistently can change our world.
